At GAIA circular, we believe that waste is a valuable raw material. An important point in our operations is the preservation of these precious resources for the European market! By recovering, recycling, and optimally reusing materials, we create new value and close the loop.

We obtain these raw materials from three different streams:

• Work and safety clothing is checked for possible reuse/repair, whether at the component level or recycled. In the supply chain, these products/components are applied as follows; Reuse, Up-cycling, Closed-loop recycling, Open-loop recycling, and as a last option Waste-to-energy.

• Safety shoes are dismantled whenever possible to recover raw materials.

• Other PPE (such as helmets and glasses) are dismantled in cooperation with social work partners (such as Stichting Mazzel) so that they can be further processed into a new raw material.
